You can ask ONE for information related to your Applicant tracking system (ATS) directly from the chat. This connection allows you to quickly access recruitment insights without navigating through different sections of the platform. In this article, you’ll learn what information you can request from ONE and how to use it to get ATS data instantly.
Overview
The integration between ONE and ATS allows users to ask recruitment-related questions directly in the ONE chat and receive answers based on ATS data.
Instead of manually searching through recruitment dashboards or reports, you can simply ask ONE for specific information about jobs, candidates, or hiring processes.
When and why it should be used
Use this functionality when you want to quickly retrieve recruitment data without navigating through multiple pages in Factorial.
It can be especially useful when you need to:
- Check how many open job positions your company currently has
- Identify who is responsible for hiring for specific roles
- Understand where candidates are coming from
- Get quick insights about your recruitment pipeline
This feature helps HR teams and hiring managers make faster, data-driven decisions.
How to use
- Go to ONE in Factorial
- Open the chat interface
- Type a question related to ATS data
- Send your message
- ONE will analyse the request and return the relevant recruitment data

Example questions you can ask:
- “How many open jobs do we currently have?”
- “Who is the hiring manager for open roles?”
- “What are the main candidate sources?”
- “Show a breakdown of candidates by source”
If you're unsure what data is available, you can also ask: “What ATS data can you provide?”
ONE will display the available information it can retrieve from ATS.
Find candidates by what their CVs say
You can ask ONE, in plain language and in any language, which candidates match a skill or experience. ONE reads the CV text and cover letters of the candidates, so the answer is based on what they actually include.
- Ask ONE for candidates with a skill. For example:
- “Are there any candidates with hardware knowledge?”
- “How many candidates know about Python development?”
- “Which applicants to [job posting name] know about software development?”
- ONE searches the candidates in your candidate search or, if you name a job posting, the applicants of that job posting.
- ONE shows a table with one row per matching candidate: the candidate's name, the CV file and the passage of the CV that matches.
- Ask follow-up questions if you need to, for example to see the first five matches or to narrow the results.
- ONE looks at all the matching candidates, not only the first ones. If ONE could only see part of the candidates, it tells you that the answer is incomplete.
- If you ask for active candidates, candidates saved only in the talent pool are not included.
Matches are based on what the CV says, not on a verified assessment of the candidate's skills. Review the matching passage and the CV before you make a decision.
Leave feedback and manage evaluation forms with ONE
ONE can also act on your recruitment data. You can leave, fill in, edit or delete candidate feedback, and create or update a job posting's internal evaluation form, without leaving the chat.
Leave or edit feedback for a candidate
- Open ONE and ask it to leave feedback for a candidate. For example: “Give Ana a 4, strong on negotiation”.
- Name the candidate. ONE finds the right job posting for you.
- If the candidate has several applications, ONE lists them and asks which one you mean. It doesn't guess.
- If the candidate has no applications, ONE leaves the feedback at candidate level.
You can also ask ONE to change a rating, edit feedback or delete feedback you left.
Create or update an evaluation form
- Open ONE and ask it to create or edit the internal evaluation form for a job posting. If you are on the job posting's page, you can simply say “this job”.
- ONE creates or updates the evaluation form in the same conversation.
- You can also ask ONE to save the evaluation form as a company template.
The feedback and evaluation form screens refresh automatically as soon as ONE saves the changes. You don't need to reload the page.
Tips and best practices
- Be specific in your questions. The clearer your question is, the more accurate the answer will be.
- Ask follow-up questions to explore the data further.
- Use ONE to get quick insights, and then navigate to ATS if you need deeper analysis or detailed reports.
